Irvine: Fiery Toll Road Crash Injures Two

02.07.2021 | 1:02 AM | IRVINE – Two men were injured after a fiery crash on a toll road, early Sunday morning.

The fiery crash occurred shortly after 1:00 AM when a pickup truck collided with a pole on the northbound SR-241 just south of the SR-133.

The truck quickly became engulfed in flames but both occupants were able to exit before fire consumed the vehicle.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze and treated both adult male victims on scene before transporting them to area hospitals.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol’s Santa Ana Office.
