Irvine: DUI Suspect Apprehended After Crashing Into OCFA Headquarters, Fleeing On Foot

11.22.2024 | 11:39 PM | IRVINE – A DUI suspect was apprehended after crashing into the Orange County Fire Authority headquarters and fleeing on foot, late Friday night.

Callers reported a white sedan that crashed through the front gate of the Orange County Fire Authority headquarters located at 1 Fire Authority Road, narrowly missing a guard shack, around 11:39 PM.

When authorities arrived they located the unoccupied sedan with major damage and learned that two occupants from the vehicle fled the scene on foot.

Officers searched the area and located the duo hiding in bushes and apprehended both of them without incident.

A DUI investigation was underway and the driver was expected to be charged with hit-and-run among other charges.

Fortunately no injuries were reported.
