
06.01.2022 | 11:30 AM | HUNTINGTON BEACH – A pedestrian in a street was struck and killed by motorist, police announced Wednesday morning.
The fatal crash involving a pedestrian was reported on Bolsa Chica Street, north of Argosy Avenue, when a female pedestrian was struck by a grey 2019 Toyota Highlander on May 31, 2022 around 11:00 PM.
When authorities arrived they located the pedestrian, described as a 63-year-old female, deceased in the roadway.
The driver of the Toyota, a 60-year-old man, and his passenger, a 49-year-old woman, both from Huntington Beach, remained on scene and were cooperating with law enforcement.
The pedestrian, who has yet to be publicly identified, was believed to be crossing outside of a crosswalk when she was struck as the Toyota traveled southbound on Bolsa Chica Street.
Drugs or alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash, police said.
