Huntington Beach: Two Men Arrested After Kidnapping, Assaulting Woman

06.09.2021 | 5:00 PM | HUNTINGTON BEACH – Two men were arrested in connection with a kidnapping and sexual assault of a woman.

Police say 47-year-old Florentino Contreras Bacilio and 30-year-old Angel Lopez Evaristo, both of Long Beach, are facing charges in connection with the June 6 kidnapping and sexual assault of a woman in downtown.

Preliminary reports indicate that a female was forced into a vehicle in the downtown area and sexually assaulted before being released on Pacific Coast Highway near Warner Avenue.

An alert motorist noticed the female walking and contacted authorities.

The woman was treated for injuries she sustained in the incident at a local hospital and later released.

Through their investigative work police identified Evaristo and Bacilio as suspects and placed them both under arrest.

Neither men are believed to have a relationship with the victim.
