Huntington Beach: Pedestrian Found Dead, Hit & Run Driver Sought

07.28.2021 | 3:44 AM | HUNTINGTON BEACH – Police are seeking the driver of a vehicle that is believed to have struck and killed a pedestrian before fleeing, early Wednesday morning.

The pedestrian-involved crash was reported on Edinger Avenue, east of Springdale Street, around 3:44 AM.

When units arrived on scene they located a female victim deceased in the roadway.

The vehicle that have struck the woman did not remain on scene and was believed to have fled westbound on Edinger Avenue.

Officers are scouring the area for evidence and reviewing surveillance video in attempt to identify the hit-and-run driver.
