Huntington Beach: Officer-Involved Crash Leaves Multiple Injured

03.23.2025 | 10:14 PM | HUNTINGTON BEACH – An officer-involved crash injured as many as six people, Sunday night.

The crash was reported at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Williams Drive when a marked police SUV driven by an on-duty officer collided with a black Kia sedan around 10:14 PM.

When additional units arrived they discovered between five and six individuals, including the officer, suffering from injuries from the collision.

Firefighter paramedics declared a mass casualty incident due to the number of victims and requested additional resources.

Reports are in conflict but at least five victims from the crash were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Based on the resting place of the vehicles involved and location of damage, it appears that the police vehicle was traveling southbound on Beach Boulevard when it struck the side of the Kia as it made a left-turn or U-turn from the northbound lanes of Beach Boulevard.

Police declined to confirm additional details aside from confirming that the officer was on-duty at the time of the collision.
