Huntington Beach: Fiery Crash Kills Driver

06.09.2021 | 1:28 AM | HUNTINGTON BEACH – A man was killed when the vehicle he was driving burst into flames after crashing, early Wednesday morning.

The collision occurred on Pacific Coast Highway near Huntington Street shortly before 1:30 AM.

When authorities arrived on scene they located a a white 2003 Infiniti FX45 that struck a parked vehicle before colliding with a traffic signal pole and erupting into flames.

Firefighters extinguished the fire but later discovered the Infiniti’s driver deceased inside.

Police identified the man as 34-year-old Ricky Martinez, of Huntington Beach.

No other injuries from the crash were reported.
