Huntington Beach: Female Pedestrian Struck & Killed In Intersection

01.24.2022 | 6:20 PM | HUNTINGTON BEACH – A female pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle, Monday evening.

The collision was reported at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Yorktown Avenue around 6:20 PM.

At the scene authorities located a female pedestrian that had been struck by a white Chevrolet Silverado that had been traveling northbound on Beach Boulevard.

The woman, who was believed to have been crossing eastbound on Yorktown Avenue, was pronounced deceased on scene as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 58-year-old man from Garden Grove, was uninjured and remained on scene to cooperate with law enforcement.

It did not appear that drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision although the remains under investigation.

The identity of the female victim was not immediately released.
