07.15.2022 | 8:00 PM | GARDEN GROVE – Three Texans are awaiting extradition after being arrested in connection with a deadly 2019 home invasion robbery, police announced Friday.
Donyena Hamilton, 32, of Dallas, Texas, Lavondrick Hood-Jones, 28, of Dallas, Texas, and Frederrion Johnson, 22, of Lufkin, Texas, were arrested in Texas on Monday following a three-year investigation into the home invasion robbery that left 25-year-old Shon Xavier Hall, of Garden Grove, dead.
Hall died following the early morning home invasion robbery at his home in the 9100 block of La Grand Avenue on Jul. 8, 2019.
At the time police said three suspects wearing masks and armed with a handgun woke Hall, his girlfriend, and other family members as they slept around 4:00 AM.
The perpetrators demanded cash and drugs during what was initially a robbery but later, for reasons that were not disclosed, gunfire rang out and Hall was struck.
Hall ran from the home but later collapsed in his driveway and died as the suspects fled the scene.
Hamilton, Hood-Jones, and Johnson are all awaiting extradition to Orange County where they will face robbery and murder charges.
The investigation into Hall’s death remains ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Steve Heine at (714) 741-5422.
