Garden Grove: Second-Alarm Apartment Fire Injures Seven

09.07.2019 | 1:45 PM | GARDEN GROVE – A second-alarm fire that broke out in an apartment complex left seven people injured, early Saturday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a fire at an apartment complex located in the 13100 block of Chapman Avenue around 1:45 AM.

Crews arriving on scene found heavy smoke coming from a second-story apartment with miscellaneous contents on fire inside.

Firefighters quickly attacked the blaze while working to evacuate residents from the building.

The fire was quickly extinguished but lingering smoke injured at least seven, including two police officers.

Firefighter paramedics evaluated all seven victims on scene and transported three to area hospitals.

All victims were considered to be in stable condition.

The circumstances surrounding the fire remain under investigation.
