Garden Grove: Home Invasion With Shots Fired Interrupts Poker Game

04.01.2023 | 1:35 AM | GARDEN GROVE – Shots were fired during a home invasion robbery that injured one person, early Saturday morning.

The home invasion robbery was reported in the 12200 block of Diane Street, near Allen Drive, while a group played poker inside around 1:35 AM.

When authorities arrived they learned that a male white described as being tall, thin and wearing a black baseball cap, black shirt, grey or khaki pants, and a tactical vest and mask had forced his way inside the home through a rear glass door after firing his gun.

Nobody was struck by the gunfire and once inside the suspect assaulted one person, who sustained minor injuries, and took an unspecified amount cash before fleeing the scene on foot.

Video from the scene shows an armored police vehicle being utilized by officers who surrounded the house and evacuated the victims inside.
