09.05.2021 | 2:10 AM | GARDEN GROVE – A man had to be extricated from a vehicle after crashing into a wall, early Sunday morning.
Callers reported the crash in the 10500 block of Chapman Avenue, near Nutwood Street, around 2:10 AM.
Units arriving on scene located a red SUV that had collided with a tree before coming to rest against a brick wall.
The driver of the vehicle was trapped and had to be freed by firefighters before being rushed to UCI Medical Center in unknown condition.
All westbound lanes of Chapman Avenue were closed between Easy Way and Nutwood Avenue while authorities investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash.
It was unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
