Garden Grove: Man & Child Killed By Truck While Crossing Street

10.12.2019 | 8:46 PM | GARDEN GROVE – A 60-year-old man and a 6-year-old boy were killed after being struck by a large pickup truck while crossing a street, Saturday night.

An officer on patrol was flagged down regarding an injury traffic collision near the intersection of Benton Street and Garden Grove Boulevard around 8:46 PM.

The officer arrived on scene within seconds and found two pedestrians down in the roadway with a pickup truck stopped in lanes.

The officer attempted life-saving measures on both patients until firefighter paramedics arrived on scene to assist.

Tragically both victims were pronounced deceased on scene.

The driver of the pickup truck that struck the pedestrians remained on scene and was cooperating with law enforcement.

A second vehicle described only as a white sedan was being sought by police as a possible witness or involved party.
