Garden Grove: Man Arrested After Girlfriend Found Dead Inside Home

12.18.2021 | 2:47 PM | GARDEN GROVE – A 55-year-old man was facing murder charges after his long-term girlfriend was found dead inside a home, Saturday afternoon.

Officers responded to reports of a woman in distress in the 13600 block of Glenhaven Drive around 2:47 PM.

When units arrived on scene they located a woman with major head and face trauma deceased inside a home.

Initial reports indicate that witnesses heard the woman arguing with a man who fled the location. When the witnesses went to check on the woman they found her deceased.

A description of the suspect, the victim’s apparent long-term boyfriend, was obtained and officers later him near the intersection of Garden Grove Boulevard and Nelson Street.

After further investigation the man, identified as 55-year-old Manual Martin Veerman, of Garden Grove, was placed under arrest on suspicion of murder.
