Garden Grove: Leaking Substance Prompts Hazmat Response

05.31.2024 | 7:08 PM | GARDEN GROVE – A substance leaking from a work truck prompted a hazmat response, Friday night.

Callers reported an unknown substance leaking from drums in the back of a work truck near the intersection of Hoover Street and Garden Grove Boulevard around 7:08 PM.

When authorities arrived they located the work truck with several drums leaking an unknown substance.

A hazmat team responded to the scene and secured the area while it worked to patch the leak and identify whether the substance was hazardous.

After several hours authorities had stopped the leak and rendered the area safe.

The identity of the leaking substance remains unknown.

No injuries were reported.
