11.17.2018 | 12:29 AM | GARDEN GROVE – Flames ripped through a residence with pack-rat conditions, early Saturday morning.
Firefighters responded shortly before 12:30 AM to reports of a fire in the 11400 block of True Way.
Crews arriving on scene discovered a single-story residence with heavy smoke and fire showing.
An aggressive fire attack was complicated by dense pack-rat conditions both inside and outside of the residence.
Despite tough conditions, firefighters achieved knockdown of the blaze within 35 minutes.
One resident was reportedly injured but refused treatment on scene and instead self-transported to a nearby hospital.
The Red Cross was requested to assist the seven residents were displaced by the fire.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
