01.14.2022 | 12:17 PM | GARDEN GROVE – A 20-year-old man was dead after crashing into a large truck, Friday afternoon.
The crash was reported on the eastbound SR-22 Freeway just west of Fairview Street around 12:17 PM, according to a California Highway Patrol incident log.
When units arrived on scene they located a gold Nissan Altima that had collided with a large truck.
The driver of the Nissan, a 20-year-old male, was pronounced deceased on scene, according to the log.
At least two lanes were closed while authorities worked to investigate the fatal crash.
It was too early to say whether drugs or alcohol might have played a role.
