04.05.2026 | 1:17 AM | GARDEN GROVE – A person was found dead after firefighters extinguished a fire inside a garage, early Sunday morning.
The fire broke out at a home in the 11700 block of Paloma Avenue around 1:17 AM.
When crews arrived they found heavy smoke coming from a garage and began efforts to locate and extinguish the fire.
Firefighters worked for about 10 minutes to douse the blaze which ignited a car inside the home’s garage. Due to the quick fire attack, crews prevented flames from spreading to the main home.
During a secondary search of the garage a deceased individual was located inside.
The identity of the deceased individual was not immediately known and no other injuries were reported.
Fire investigators responded to the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deadly fire.
