The incident occurred at approximately 1:00 AM on June 20, 2023, when Sara Ayala’s father was working with his colleagues on paving asphalt roads in Garden Grove, according to the victim’s daughter. Suddenly, a group of assailants emerged from the nearby establishment, ‘Say Karaoke,’ and launched a vicious assault on the workers. The attack was reportedly triggered after the workers requested the individuals to avoid stepping on the freshly laid asphalt.
The consequences of this senseless act of violence were severe with Sara’s father bearing the brunt of the assault. He was rushed to a local hospital as a ‘John Doe,’ apparently unable to identify himself.
