Fullerton: Police Looking For Driver Who May Have Fatally Struck Bicyclist

03.03.2022 | 9:32 PM | FULLERTON – Police are looking for a driver who may have struck and killed a man riding a bicycle with an electric motor, Thursday night.

The incident was reported as a traffic collision involving a bicyclist near the intersection of Malvern and Basque avenues around 9:32 PM.

When officers arrived on scene they located a 58-year-old male down in the roadway near a mountain bike that had been modified with an aftermarket electric motor.

First responders began life-saving measures and ultimately transported the man to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

No other vehicles or witnesses were at the scene of the crash when authorities arrived leading them to suspect that a driver may have fled the scene.

No vehicle description was immediately available.
