Fullerton: Male Pedestrian Struck & Killed While Crossing Street

03.08.2022 | 6:37 PM | FULLERTON – A male pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing a street, Tuesday evening.

The crash was reported near the intersection of East Chapman and Clark avenues around 6:37 PM.

When authorities arrived on scene they located a pedestrian down in the westbound lanes of Chapman Avenue.

First responders treated the man on scene before rushing him to an area hospital. Despite their efforts the man was later pronounced deceased.

The driver who reportedly struck the pedestrian remained on scene and was being interviewed by officers.

Initial reports suggest the driver was traveling westbound on Chapman when they struck the pedestrian who was crossing northbound.

It was unclear if the pedestrian was in a crosswalk when the collision occurred.
