09.05.2025 | 10:55 PM | FOUNTAIN VALLEY – One person was killed and another critically injured after the car they were riding in collided with a tree, Friday night.
The deadly crash was reported in the 16100 block of Brookhurst Street around 10:55 PM when a 1999 Lexus LS 400 lost control and collided with a tree in the center median.
When crews arrived they found the Lexus wrapped around a tree with its driver, whose identity was not disclosed, deceased. A passenger sustained major injuries and was treated on scene by medics before being rushed to an area hospital where they were in critical, but stable, condition.
The deadly crash remains under investigation and it was unclear if speed, alcohol, or drugs might have played a role in the collision.
