Cypress: Woman Arrested After Killing Man With Car Following Altercation

09.26.2022 | 4:00 PM | CYPRESS – A woman was arrested after killing a man with her car following an altercation near a park Sunday night, police announced.

Hannah Star Esser, 20, was arrested on unspecified charges following the crash that claimed the life of an adult pedestrian in the 9700 block of Graham Street, near Oak Knoll Park, around 8:26 PM.

Police say Esser was involved in an altercation with the male pedestrian shortly before he was fatally struck by her vehicle in what appeared to be an intentional act.

The identity of the deceased pedestrian and details regarding any relationship he may have had with Esser were not immediately released.

Esser is being held at the Orange County Jail in lieu of $1 million bail, according to jail records.
