Coto de Caza: Boy Bicyclist Sustains Major Injuries In Crash With Pickup Truck

09.01.2022 | 4:00 PM | COTO DE CAZA – An eight-year-old bicyclist sustained major injuries when a truck collided with him, Thursday morning.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Oso Parkway and Coto de Caza Drive around 7:25 when a white 1999 Ford F-150 pickup struck the boy as he crossed the street crosswalk.

The boy, who was wearing a helmet, sustained major injuries and was transported to Mission Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Ford, a 53-year-old resident of Tustin, remained on scene and was cooperating with law enforcement.

Drugs or alcohol were not believed to have played a role in the collision.
