Costa Mesa: Police Seeking So-Called Incel In Connection With Hate Crimes

05.05.2022 | 8:30 PM | COSTA MESA – A so-called involuntary celibate is being sought by authorities in connection with several hate crimes, police announced Thursday.

Johnny Young, whose age and place of residence were not released, is being sought by police in connection with several hate crimes in Costa Mesa.

Young, who police said is a self-described incel, or person who is involuntarily celibate and expresses hostility towards those who are sexually active, has reportedly confronted women outside bars using explicit language.

Those confrontations have led to him assaulting multiple people, police said added.

Young is known to drive a white Chevrolet cargo van with a large green stripe, according to authorities.
