Costa Mesa: Chain-Reaction Crash Injures Three

06.20.2021 | 12:17 AM | COSTA MESA – A chain-reaction crash involving as many as five vehicles left three people injured, early Sunday morning.

Authorities responded around 12:17 AM to reports of a traffic collision involving a black Porsche that had collided with the center divider on the northbound SR-55 Freeway near Fair Drive.

While responding additional callers reported that several other vehicles, as many as five, had collided as a result of the first crash.

First responders arriving on scene located at least five vehicles, including a Jeep that had overturned, blocking numerous lanes.

Firefighter paramedics treated three people from the crash before transporting them to area hospitals in unknown condition.

All lanes were temporarily closed while authorities worked to clear the scene.
