12.07.2024 | 12:50 AM | COMPTON – A pursuit of vehicle tampering suspects from Tustin ended when officers executed a PIT maneuver in Compton, early Saturday morning.
Officers attempted to stop a white Ford Expedition following reports of vehicle tampering in Tustin around 12:50 AM.
The driver of the vehicle and its three passengers fled from officers, leading them on a pursuit that traveled southbound on the I-5 Freeway before turning around at El Toro Road and proceeding northbound.
The Ford transitioned onto the eastbound SR-91 Freeway before exiting onto Santa Fe Avenue where officers executed a successful pursuit intervention technique (PIT) maneuver, disabling the vehicle.
Officers took all occupants into custody without further incident.
It is unclear what charges the suspects might face and a police spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for additional information.
