01.16.2026 | 5:46 PM | BUENA PARK – A man was struck and killed by a commuter train, Friday evening.
The collision involving a pedestrian on the railroad tracks and a commuter train was reported on the railroad tracks near Dale Street & Lakeknoll Drive around 5:46 PM.
When crews arrived they located Amtrak Pacific Surfliner 784 stopped on the tracks and a male body nearby.
Medics pronounced the male deceased on scene while passengers on the train disembarked at the nearby Buena Park train station.
It is unclear why the pedestrian was on the railroad tracks and an investigation is ongoing.
