Buena Park: Charges Filed After Massive Drug Bust

04.06.2022 | 10:00 AM | BUENA PARK – Two alleged drug dealers were charged after a drug bust netted over a thousand pounds of drugs, authorities announced Wednesday.

Both Edgar Alfonsa Lamas, 36, and Carlos Raygozaparedes, 53, both of Buena Park, were charged with three felony counts of sale or transportation for sales of drugs, two felony counts of possessing a controlled substance, and one felony could of possession for sales of a controlled substance.

Buena Park police officers seized over 821 pounds of methamphetamine, 189.7 pounds of cocaine, and 20.5 pounds of fentanyl pills after stopping a minivan on Mar. 17, 2022.

Due to the quantity of drugs found, Lamas and Raygozaparedes are facing multiple felony enhancements.

If convicted on all counts Lamas and Raygozaparedes could be sentenced to over 37 years in prison.

Both men have entered pleas of not guilty and are being held in the Orange County Jail in lieu of $5 million bail.
