05.03.2020 | 2:15 AM | ANAHEIM – An investigation is underway after a woman shot at a suspected prowler outside her home, early Sunday morning.
Authorities initially responded to a woman calling to report an overdose at the Brookhurst Village Condos located in the 1200 block of South Brookhurst Street around 2:15 AM.
While responding units received updated information that the woman was inside her home and had shot at a prowler who was possibly attempting to break in.
Officers arriving on scene detained the suspected prowler and made contact with the female who indicated she had fired her weapon.
Nobody was struck by the gunfire and a Glock handgun was reportedly secured at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting incident remain under investigation.
