Anaheim: Woman Freed From Overturned Car Entangled With Live Wires

10.14.2021 | 2:36 AM | ANAHEIM – A woman was freed from an overturned vehicle that was entangled with live wires, early Thursday morning.

The crash was reported in the 2100 block of West Orange Avenue, near South Brookhurst Street, around 2:36 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a solo female trapped in a silver Hyundai sedan that had overturned after colliding with a power pole.

The vehicle was entangled by live wires delaying efforts to rescue the woman until the power could be secured.

It took about 30 minutes for officials to shut off power to the lines and free the woman.

She was transported to an area hospital to be evaluated but did not appear seriously injured.

The cause of the crash is under investigation but authorities suspect DUI.
