Anaheim: Three-Car DUI Crash Kills One, Injures Four Others

12.05.2021 | 1:53 AM | ANAHEIM – One person is dead after a three-car crash that injured four others, early Sunday morning.

The multi-car crash was reported near the intersection of West Ball Road and South Magnolia Avenue around 1:53 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a crash involving a black Nissan Murano that ran a red light before striking a black Honda Accord.

After the impact of the initial crash the Nissan, and possibly also the Honda, struck Toyota Camry that was stopped at a red light.

Firefighter paramedics pronounced one of four occupants from the Honda, described only as a 49-year-old passenger, deceased on scene.

Three others from the Honda were transported to area hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Nissan, a 28-year-old Anaheim resident, was also transported to an area hospital with minor injuries where he was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Nobody from the Toyota, which was displaying Uber livery, was injured.

The scene of the fatal crash was closed to traffic for several hours while authorities investigated.
