01.25.2022 | 10:09 PM | ANAHEIM – A pedestrian was struck and killed while reportedly running in lanes on a freeway, Tuesday night.
Callers reported a female pedestrian running across lanes of the westbound SR-91 Freeway, just east of the SR-57 Freeway transition road, was struck by a vehicle around 10:09 PM.
When authorities arrived on scene they located a pedestrian down in lanes and pronounced them deceased on scene. Their identity was not immediately released and it is unclear why they were on the freeway.
Several vehicles, including a black 2012 Nissan Quest, stopped at the scene of the crash. The Nissan appeared to have struck the pedestrian, however the involvement of the other vehicles was not immediately known.
All eastbound lanes of the SR-91 Freeway transition road to the SR-57 Freeway were closed until further notice while the incident was being investigated.
