Anaheim: Pedestrian On Freeway Killed By Suspected Hit & Run Driver

09.12.2021 | 12:56 AM | ANAHEIM – A vehicle was being sought after fatally striking a pedestrian who was crossing a freeway, early Sunday morning.

The incident was reported shortly before 1:00 AM on the HOV transition from the eastbound SR-91 Freeway to the northbound SR-57 Freeway.

A pedestrian was crossing to the right shoulder when it was struck by a red sedan that continued on, according to a witness.

Firefighter paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased, according to a California Highway Patrol incident log.

Officers searched the area for the vehicle that struck the pedestrian but were unable to locate it, the log added.

All lanes of the HOV transition road are expected to be closed for several hours as authorities investigate.
