Anaheim: Pedestrian Dead After Crash Involving Two Vehicles

10.17.2020 | 1:56 AM | ANAHEIM – A man was struck and killed while crossing a busy street, early Saturday morning.

The crash occurred shortly before 2:00 AM on Southbound Beach Boulevard just south of West Stonybrook Drive.

When units arrived on scene they located a male pedestrian down in the roadway and pronounced him deceased.

The driver of a silver 2018 Honda Civic who struck the pedestrian initially fled the scene but later returned to the area.

Another vehicle, a burgundy 2011 Honda Accord, was seen stopped in the area of the crash but did not collide with the pedestrian. It was unclear how the Honda Accord was involved in the crash.

Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the crash.

The identity of the pedestrian was not immediately released pending notification of next of kin.
