Anaheim: Suspected DUI Crash Involving Eight Vehicles Kills One, Injures 10 Others

12.22.2022 | 2:15 PM | ANAHEIM – A suspected DUI crash involving eight vehicles left one person dead and 10 others injured, Thursday afternoon.

Police say the deadly crash occurred when a suspected DUI driver in a speeding SUV ran a red light, striking a silver Mercedes-Benz sedan and causing a chain-reaction crash involving eight vehicles at the intersection of West Ball Road and South Magnolia Avenue around 2:15 PM.

Medics pronounced female driver of the Mercedes deceased and treated 10 other victims, including one with serious injuries who was transported, at the scene.

The suspected DUI driver, a 36-year-old man who has yet to be identified, was arrested by police.

Witnesses say the driver was traveling at high-speeds prior to the deadly crash.
