Anaheim: Man Found Dead Inside Home By Officers Responding To Court Order Violation

05.04.2022 | 1:30 PM | ANAHEIM – One man was arrested after officers responding to reports of a court order violation found a person deceased inside a home, police announced Wednesday morning.

The body of 59-year-old man was found by officers who responding to reports of a court order violation at a home in the 500 block of North Philadelphia Street around 6:30 PM on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.

The officers first responded to reports of an individual that was reportedly violating a court order.

When officers arrived they tried to contact the suspect, later identified as 22-year-old Marlon Garcia, of Anaheim, but he fled back into the home through a broken glass window.

Officers were able to detain Garcia inside the home where they located the body of 59-year-old Santos Castillo, of Anaheim.

Castillo, who was Castillo’s roommate, had sustained what appeared to be traumatic injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Garcia was taken to a nearby hospital where he was treated for cuts he sustained when fleeing from police through a broken window before being booked in the Anaheim Jail in lieu of $1 million bail.
