Anaheim: Homicide Leads To Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting

08.31.2021 | 11:54 AM | ANAHEIM – A homicide lead to an officer-involved shooting that left the suspect dead, Tuesday afternoon.

Officers responded around 11:54 AM to reports of a shooting victim inside a home located in the 2400 block of West Greenleaf Avenue.

Units arriving on scene entered the home and discovered the victim of an apparent homicide.

While still inside the home officers were confronted by an armed suspect.

An officer-involved shooting ensued and officers retreated from the home until a SWAT team arrived.

The SWAT team later entered the home and found two individuals deceased.

One of the deceased individuals was the armed individual that confronted officers.

The relationship between the initial victim and the armed individual was not immediately known.

An investigation into the officer-involved shooting will be led by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.

No other injuries from the incident were reported.
